Personal Emergency Ready Bundle — The Common Questions
Short answers. If we missed one, ask us.
What hygiene supplies do you need in a hurricane kit?
Plan for no running water: compressed towels for washing up, soap sheets for hands before eating, and rinse-free sponges for full-body cleanups. All three store dry and flat, so they don't rotate out like food and batteries.
How do you stay clean when the water is out?
Ration what you have. A few ounces of bottled water plus a compressed towel handles a full wipe-down; a soap sheet handles hand washing before meals. That's a fraction of the water a sink or shower uses.
What is Compact Care?
Compact Care is a veteran-founded hygiene brand based in Florida. We make compressed cotton towels, portable soap sheets and rinse-free bath sponges that pack flat and work with just a little water — built for travel, caregiving, job sites, camping and storm days.
How do compressed towels work?
Each towel is 100% cotton pressed into a coin- or puck-sized disc. Add a small amount of water — bottled, tap, cold, whatever you have — and the towel expands to full size in a few seconds. Use it, then dispose of it or dry it out.
Do Compact Care products need water?
Yes — just a little. Everything is designed to work with a splash from a water bottle rather than a sink, shower or power. That is the whole point: just add water, wherever you are.
Are Compact Care towels and soap sheets TSA friendly?
Yes. Compressed towels ship dry and soap sheets travel as thin dry sheets in a pocket container, so neither counts against your liquids allowance. They fit in a carry-on, a glovebox or a jacket pocket.
Are they safe for sensitive skin?
The towels are plain 100% cotton with no added fragrance, alcohol or chemicals — nothing sits on the skin between you and the water you add. Soap sheets and sponges use a mild soap formula. Check each product page for its full ingredient list.
